Who?
The Mayor of Bath’s Corps of Honorary Guides was founded in 1934. We are a group of individuals with a common love for Bath.
What?
We conduct walking tours for the general public around Bath. Our walks are completely free, we are unpaid volunteers and do not accept tips.
When?
Every day of the year, in all weathers, except for Christmas Day.
Why?
On behalf of the Mayor we welcome visitors from across the world and take pride in the delivery of informative and entertaining tours. People enjoy our tours and we are giving something back to Bath.
Qualities?
Enthusiasm, willingness to learn, public speaking, welcoming, friendly and committed.
Individual Commitment?
Initial training of in the region of 6 months, both self-study and practical under a tutor. Once qualifed, you will be expected to walk frequently and take part in continuous development supported by a programme of educational/social events.
