DAILY WALKS
Our Classic city centre tour takes place every day of the year, except Christmas Day. These walks take in the City centre and the main attractions including the Royal Crescent and The Circus.
Sunday to Friday – 10.30am and 2.00pm
Saturday – 10.30am only
All walks take approximately two hours
There is no booking needed for the classic city centre tour – just turn up and go.
Please aim to be at the start point 10 minutes before and be ready for a prompt start. Those arriving after the planned start time may be asked to join a subsequent tour.
EXTRA SUMMER WALKS
Additional walks take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Evening Walks – Our classic city centre tour.
1 May to 30 September . Leaves at 6.00pm.
Pulteney Estate Walks – these walks go over Pulteney Bridge to Bath’s greatest boulevard. Explore a Georgian pleasure garden, discover the canal and find hidden gems. For more details please click here
1 April to 31 October. Leaves at 11.00am.
Please note this year we are starting from 1 April rather than 1 May. Not all of literature has been updated but please be assured we will be walking.
There is no booking needed for these Extra Summer Walks – just turn up and go.
GROUP WALKS
Group Walks – For groups of 10 people or more, we are able to offer group walks lasting approximately 2 hours and covering the main points of Bath’s historical and architectural interest. We do not lead tours inside buildings. If you would like us to cover some special interest please tell us when making the booking.
In addition, we offer certain themed group walks: the Pulteney Estate, and the Bath Blitz

Taking care on our walks
Our regular walks take place in the city, are around 2 miles (3km) in length and typically include both steps and slopes. Bath is an old city with uneven and raised pavements and traffic flows from, at times, unexpected directions. Our walks are all outside and in places there are limited opportunities for reliable shelter from sun, rain and lightning. There are no ready sources of water or easily accessible toilets on the regular routes. With limited changes walks can be made suitable for those in wheelchairs or similar and such visitors are welcome. Please come prepared for the weather conditions on the day. If in doubt please do not walk or (having informed the guide) leave the walk at the point that is best for you.
We aim to walk in all weathers. However, we will not walk where there is a RED weather warning in place (from either the Met Office or the UKHSA). Where there is an AMBER warning then our guides are empowered to make an appropriate decision for both our visitors as a whole and for their own needs. This may result in short notice cancellations, or on walks being shortened or stopped early. If this is the case please accept our apologies, look out for other opportunities to walk with us and be respectful of our decisions.
Some special walks take place further outside the centre of the city and other factors may be relevant which will be highlighted before these start.
