Received The Queen's Award for Voluntary Service in June 2014. This is the highest award for a volunteer group in the UK and is given for outstanding work in the local community.

The Mayor of Bath's Corps of Honorary Guides is giving free special walking tours from 10 July to 21 July 2017.

Each walk lasts up to 2 hours and booking is not required except for groups of 12 or more. We hope you can join us to hear more about the people, places and activities that made Bath famous.

Victorian Bath

14:00 Mon 10 and 1900 Thu 20 July. Meet outside the Victoria Art Gallery; finish in Orange Grove.

Lansdown’s Crescents, Squares and Hidden Places

19:00 Mon 10 and 14:00 Mon 17 July. Meet and finish outside No1 Royal Crescent.

Walcot and the Paragon

14:00 Tue 11 and 19:00 Tue 18 July. Explore 2000 years of the artisan quarter. Meet and finish outside the Podium (Northgate St).

The Bath Blitz

19:00 Tue 11 and 14:00 Thu 20 July. Walk back 75 years to the Blitz. Meet by the Information Centre (Kingston Parade); finish at the Assembly Rooms.

‘Tying the knot in Bath’

14:00 Wed 12 and 19:00 Mon 17 July. Walk in the footsteps of famous people who married in Bath. Meet and finish by the Information Centre (Kingston Parade).

Bathwick

19:00 Wed 12 and 19:00 Fri 21 July. Enjoy a stroll around this historic area. Meet and finish at Laura Place (by chemist).

14:00 Thu 13 and 19:00 Wed 19 July. What did Bath offer its visitors in the 18C? Meet and finish by the Information Centre (Kingston Parade).

‘Fame, Fun and Foul Business’

19:00 Fri 14 and 14:00 Fri 21 July. Discover the wealth of history that surrounds Orange Grove. Meet and finish: east end of the Abbey, Orange Grove.

River, Canal and Park

19:00 Thu 13 and 14:00 Tue 18 July. Meet and finish by Thimble Mill (junction of the river and canal).
